Around 60,000 candidates competed for roughly 30,000 seats this year, making counselling strategy just as important as the exam itself.

With results out, candidates now need to move quickly through document verification and option entry to secure their preferred college and course.

Tips for Option Entry

  • List more options than you think you need — a longer preference list improves your chances across counselling rounds
  • Order matters — list your genuinely preferred combinations first; KEA allots based on your highest-ranked available choice
  • Research placement records and industry connections for MBA/MCA programs, not just college reputation alone
  • Check specialization availability within M.Tech/M.E. branches before finalizing your list
