Intake 02/2027
The Indian Air Force released the Agniveer Vayu Intake 02/2027 notification on 17 June 2026, with the online application window running 6–26 July 2026. The online selection test is scheduled for 22–23 September 2026. This recruitment offers eligible unmarried Indian men and women the opportunity to serve in the Indian Air Force under the Agnipath Scheme for a four-year tenure.

Selection Process — 3 Phases
- Phase I: Online Test (knowledge-based)
- Phase II: Physical Fitness Test I & II, plus Adaptability Test I & II
- Phase III: Medical Examination
Candidates must clear each phase to advance — this is a strictly sequential elimination process, not a combined-score system.
Preparing for the Online Test (22-23 Sept)
- English: Grammar, comprehension, and vocabulary at Class 10-12 level
- Reasoning & General Awareness: Logical reasoning, current affairs, defence-related GK
- Mathematics/Physics (for relevant streams): Class 10-12 level concepts
- Practice previous year Agniveer Vayu papers to understand the exact difficulty and question style
Physical Fitness Standards to Prepare For
Physical Fitness Test typically includes running, push-ups, sit-ups, and other endurance measures. Since this stage comes right after clearing the written test, candidates should begin physical conditioning now rather than waiting for the online test result — the gap between phases is often short.
